The King's Guide is practical theology with a medieval twist. Fanciful language, simple message. What follows is an outline for future parts. There is no particular plan as to when each will be posted. I will likely skip around a bit.

An Introduction to The Realm
Welcome to The Realm. You are knights in The Realm. You are serfs of the Great King. I, the Chronicler, will be your guide as we learn about the King, His Realm, and our role as knights.
First off, who is The Great King? The Great King is the Lord of the Manor. He is God. The Manor is His Presence. If we are on the manor grounds, we are in the Presence of the King. We are knights of the Great King. As knights we pledge to serve the King and agree to live by the Code of the Realm. The Code of the Realm is the words and decrees of the King.
We are part of the Realm of the King. His Realm is all those who choose to serve Him. It is His Kingdom. Life in the Realm includes the practice of the trade to which we are apprenticed. This trade is our calling as knights of the Realm. The Prince, the Son of the Great King, defines our trade like this, Therefore go and make knights of all people. Dub them knights of the Realm in the name of the Great King and the Prince, and by the authority of the Family Crest, teaching them to obey the Code of the Realm (Matthew 28:19-20).
We are apprenticed to the Prince to learn that trade, to recruit others to be a part of The Realm and to live on the Manor.Life in the Realm also encompasses learning to joust. Our joust is the battle we will wage against the Dragon. The Dragon is our enemy. The Dragon takes on many forms, and even occasionally appears like other knights. We must learn to joust so we will be able to slay the dragons we face in our life. The Great King and the Prince do not send us out to the joust unprepared. They provide the armor we need to be successful.
The King’s Family Crest identifies us as knights of the Realm. Once we become knights, the Great King gives us His Family Crest to mark us as His. The Family Crest is the King’s way of being with us. If we have the Crest with us, we have the authority of the King. We will bear the Crest as we live lives of holiness before the King.
So endeavor, young knight, to study The King's Guide and so be prepared for life in the Realm.
